Graphics and Marketing/Promotions Intern - Boise Hawks (Boise, ID)

Overview:
This is your opportunity to learn how to make a difference for our team. As a the graphics/promotions and marketing intern, you will be the key intern in the marketing and promotions department. You will learn how to responsible for social media and our website as well as handling some press releases. You will also support all sales initiatives with graphics, website updates, and print materials for fans for each homestand. Lastly you will learn how to take charge of promotions and in game sponsorship fulfillment on the field.

Additionally, you’ll gain valuable experience, learn how to interview and develop skills most internships do not offer. This is a stipend learning internship you will have roommates that are other interns to share your living expenses which we have found for you. The team reimbursed you for $750 per month to cover your expenses for this learning opportunity

Qualifications:
We are seeking an intern that has excellent verbal and written communication skills, detail-orientated, team player, confident, ambitious, dedicated, hard working, computer savvy, and have a strong knowledge of baseball. Knowledge of social media a must, and previous PR/Media internships a plus. Must have graphics experience and skill. Please do not apply without graphic skills.

Radio Broadcasting and Media Relations Internship (May Start- 2017 Grads or May 2018 Grads) - Boise Hawks (Boise, ID)

As our Broadcasting and Media Relations Intern you will learn and manage how to execute and produce the format of our radio show on the air through performing and interacting with audience on site and on the road with the team as well. You will learn how to entertain and inform the listener audience. You will announce play by play for station broadcasts. You will also learn how to be the media relations specialist for the team and write all press releases and stories in season. You role will expose you to writing the Media Guide when home and compiling the game day stat pack.
 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

* Knowledge of all applicable FCC rules and regulations
* Computer literacy in applicable programs
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Excellent writing skills
* Public speaking skill and ability to interact with listeners and clients in a public setting
* Problem-solving ability and skill in prioritizing
* Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels
* Ability to multi-task and handle pressures and deadlines
* Skill in operation of control board, remote broadcasting and other related production equipment

* Graphics Experience a plus.

This is a credited internship if needed that will offer a $750 living expenses stipend a month- we will help you solidify low cost housing for this experience.Additionally when you are on the road with the team you will get a per diem to cover expenses as well.

Summary:
Join our teamas a Food and Beverage Operations Intern for May 2018

As a successful Intern, your main responsibility is to learn the ropes and provide support in food and beverage operations areas of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn how to manage a food and beverage operation with mulitple points of sale.
  • Learn how to order food and take inventory counts.
  • Learn how to manage and hire staff.

Additionally, you’ll gain valuable experience in the baseball industry, with full training provided and the opportunity to work closely with all members of the Hawks front office!

Ticket Sales Intern February Start Date (December 2017 or Spring 2017 Grads ONLY - Boise Hawks (Boise, ID)

Overview:

As a Sales Intern you will learn to actually produce ticket revenue by prospecting and obtaining season seat and group ticket accounts. You will learn to sell new business to decision makers within local businesses and non-profit organizations, primarily by phone and through outside sales appointments.  You will also learn all fulfillment elements as it relates.

Responsibilities:

Learn the art of heavy relationship-building with prospective and current clients in order to meet sales goals.

This is a credited internship if needed, that will offer a $750 living expenses stipend a month- we will help you solidify low cost housing for this experience.

If you are able to close any sales you can also receive a commission at your choice.

You will also go through a full learning program that includes in classroom training and you will be asked to complete a project assigned to you for the end of the season that you must complete to pass the internship.

Additionally, you’ll gain valuable experience, learn how to interview and develop skills most internships do not offer. This is a stipend learning internship you will have roommates that are other interns to share your living expenses which we have found for you. The team reimbursed you for $750 per month to cover your expenses for this learning opportunity plus commissions. This is a true learning internship and we will prepare you and your resume for a full time job in MiLB.

This internship MAY lead to a FULL TIME OPPORTUNITY FOR THE RIGHT CANDIDATE. YOU WILL RECEIVE FULL TRAINING SIMILAR TO A CLASSROOM SETTING
